Bilateral renal Infarction by chronic atrial fibrillation

Abstract
A 91-year-old man with paroxysmal atrial fibrillation of seven years duration, on irregular anticoagulant treatment, that stopped the oral anticoagulant therapy four months ago. He attended the emergency room due to hematuria, fever and low back pain. The image study revealed multiple infarcts in both kidneys.
